The University of California, Irvine – Tibor Rubin Long Beach VA Medical Center is inviting applications for a one‑year fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology for the academic year 2027‑2028. This position is at the Health Sciences Clinical Instructor level and is located at Long Beach VA. The fellowship offers a comprehensive training experience that includes imaging interpretation, interventional procedures, and research opportunities under fellowship‑trained musculoskeletal radiologists.

The expected salary for this position is $. The UC salary scale sets the minimum pay by rank and step. Additional compensation may be available via the health sciences compensation plan and other eligibility criteria.

Program DetailsThe fellowship provides training in:
- Image‑guided interventional orthopaedic procedures (arthrography, joint aspiration, lumbar puncture, soft‑tissue and bone biopsies)
- Interpretation of musculoskeletal radiography, CT, and MRI
- Neuro and body MRI with fellowship‑trained experts
Fellows will teach UC Irvine residents and medical students, participate in interdisciplinary conferences, and contribute to ongoing research projects and publications of the section. Successful applicants will join the faculty as Health Sciences Clinical Instructors.
Qualifications- MD or DO degree
- American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility
- Completion of a four‑year ACGME‑recognized Diagnostic Radiology Residency
- Currently in or completed the residency program
