Description:

On-call stipend, meal per diem and additional hours. Pukatawagan (Mathias Colomb) is 820 air kilometers northwest of Winnipeg, with a population of over 2,235. Physicians deploy from Winnipeg to the community via chartered aircrafts, departing Monday morning and returning Thursday evening. In‑province travel and accommodations are covered by the organization. Out‑of‑province travel is paid for physicians holding 0.25 FTE (1 week monthly) and for locum providers with a commitment of 2 consecutive weeks (12 days).

• Must hold licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, or be eligible for licensure.
• Current membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

• Must have a current Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) (within 6 months of hire).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 6 months of hire).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (within 6 months of hire).
• Indigenous cultural awareness course (within 6 months of hire).
• Manitoba Opioid Antagonist Therapy (OAT) course or equivalent encouraged.

• Strong health assessment and clinical skills are required.
• Excellent leadership, critical thinking and collaborative interpersonal skills.
• Must be self‑motivated and able to work independently as part of a health care team of nurses, paramedics and allied professionals.
• Must demonstrate an appreciation of Indigenous worldviews, cultures, and provide anti‑racist, trauma‑informed care.
• Must be able to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible.
• Must possess a dependable, consistent and reliable work record, including attendance.

Remuneration follows the Doctors Manitoba Northern Independent Contractor GP Agreement (April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2027). Hourly rate: $237.32. Compensation also includes on‑call stipends, meals per diem, and additional hours.
