A large medical center in central California and the associate neurosciences group is recruiting neurologists to join its rapidly growing Neurosciences program. The program is excited to have neurology and neurosurgery together under one roof in the newly dedicated standalone building Neurosciences Institute. Due to the tremendous need in the area, the program is looking for neurologists with training in:
The program is additionally looking for a Pain Management leader, and a neurologist with that background could be a great fit. Since 2021, the program has grown to a team of nearly 30 neurologists. The community is proud to have a diverse physician population, including many first-generation physicians. The team is excited to offer mentorship for trainees interested in being part of a new and well-supported program, in addition to neurologists of all levels of experience.
Medical Center Details:
- 685 licensed beds
- Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Designated Center of Excellence in neurosciences
- Opportunities for teaching with residents
- 20-bed Neuro-ICU
- 52-Bed neuroscience Unit
Neurology/Pain Management Details:
- Will start at approximately 30% admin/70% clinical
- As more physicians are hired, move toward a 50% admin time/50% clinical time schedule
- Opportunity for an experienced Pain Neurologist to lead the program
- Support for H1B and J1 visas
Outpatient Neurology Details:
- Hiring 5 neurologists with zero call responsibilities; all subspecialists encouraged to apply
- Epilepsy and Movement Disorders are top needs, with opportunity to partner with the group's functional Neurosurgeons and grow those programs
- Dementia, MS, Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Headache, Neuromuscular, and Clinical Neurophysiology can quickly see over 50% subspecialty volume, and can expect to ramp up further in a short timeframe
- Opportunity for a Monday-Friday/8am-5pm clinic based Stroke Neurology role
- General Neurology interests would also be very well supported

Inpatient Neurology Details:
- Hiring a stroke neurologist/neurohospitalist for night coverage
- 7-on/7-off scheduling, 7pm to 7am
- Zero call; fully covered remotely
