Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Doctor (MD) to join our team. This role will focus on treating patients with substance use disorders using MAT while also providing general primary care services. The ideal candidate will have experience in addiction medicine, internal medicine, or family medicine and a passion for working with individuals in recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and ongoing treatment for patients with substance use disorders.
  • Prescribe and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients, including buprenorphine (Suboxone), methadone, and naltrexone.
  • Conduct routine primary care visits, including managing chronic conditions, preventative care, and acute medical concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with behavioral health specialists, counselors, and case managers to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and medical needs.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and their families about addiction treatment and overall health management.
  • Stay up to date with best practices in addiction medicine and primary care.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Addiction Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry or a related field preferred.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in California.
  • DEA registration for prescribing buprenorphine for MAT.
  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment and/or primary care.
