This position is for a Physician & Surgeon, CF (Internal Medicine/Family Practice [IM/FP]), located at the California State Prison, Solano (CSP-SOL) in Vacaville, CA. The incumbent provides medical care to patients in a correctional facility, performs medical assessments and treatment as appropriate and authorized by the medical license, provides clinical consultation to midlevel providers and other staff, and may be assigned on-call duties.

• Provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility and perform medical assessments and treatment within licensure and scope.
• Provide clinical consultation to midlevel providers and instruct nursing and other clinical staff on medical protocols.
• Adhere to professional medical standards of care and participate in on-call duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with the Chief Physician & Surgeon, Correctional Facility, and other health care staff to ensure quality patient care and program goals.

• Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the Medical Board of California or the California Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
• Possession of a valid internal medicine or family medicine Medical or Osteopathic Specialty Certificate issued by an American Medical Specialty Board or an American Osteopathic Specialty Board; or admissibility to an internal medicine or family medicine specialty examination as evidenced by a written statement from the Secretary of the American Board of Family Medicine or the Secretary of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
