INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic Cath Lab team. This full-time position is based in the "Regional Cardiac Cath Lab" at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center where the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of patient care within this specialized environment. The candidate will join 5 other physicians who are full time cath lab operators.

The role demands a commitment to serving as a role model for the cath lab staff, including nurses and technicians, and playing a pivotal role in their education and training. This position also includes the education and training of interventional cardiology and general cardiology fellows, ensuring the next generation of cardiologists are well-prepared for their careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of interventional cardiology procedures, including but not limited to coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and structural heart interventions.
  • Provide expert patient care in the cath lab setting, managing a full schedule of cases from Monday through Friday, with rotational weekend coverage every fourth weekend.
  • Serve as a role model and leader for cath lab staff, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing a rapidly changing schedule and patient care situations, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, from pre-procedure assessment to post-procedure follow-up.
