We seek a biologist whose research and teaching focus on the conservation, ecology, and management of organisms. We welcome applicants from a wide range of organismal disciplines, including both vertebrate and invertebrate zoology, and we especially encourage applications from candidates whose expertise strengthens or complements existing departmental strengths.

We also welcome applicants working in emerging conservation‑oriented disciplines, including invasive species biology, conservation/ecological genomics, biodiversity informatics, or related fields.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop classes in their area of expertise, and maintain an active research program involving students.

  • Teach lower‑level core biology courses and upper‑level organismal/conservation biology courses.
  • Develop or update organismal biology courses as needed.
  • Establish an active research program that includes undergraduate and graduate students.
