This is a full-time, tenure track position. The District may fill more than one position from this pool.

The successful candidate will join a college dedicated to the students it serves.
Providing instruction in Mechanized Agriculture on the Madera Community College campus and/or at off‑site community campus locations, the instructor will be responsible for:
- Teaching agriculture mechanics classes such as introduction to agricultural mechanics, introduction to agricultural welding, small gasoline and diesel engines, electrical and hydraulics fundamentals, agricultural welding fabrication, and more;
- Assisting in the operation of the Mechanized Agriculture budget, facilities and programs;
- Developing a Mechanized Agriculture advisory committee and coordinate advisory committee meetings at least twice a year;
- Providing advice and mentorship for students within the department;
- Participating in recruitment activities with high school agricultural programs such as FFA competitive events and student leadership activities;
- Participating in program review and student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning;
- Providing leadership in the development and implementation of new curriculum and academic programs that are in demand;
- Staying current in the discipline and participating in appropriate professional development activities;
- Increasing enrollment and completion, assisting students in job placement, and follow‑up with students in work experience and internship/externship opportunities;
- Serving on and attending department, college, and district committees;
- Assisting with the development and management of local, state and federal grants;
- Teaching assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, online or off‑campus and large‑group instruction classes as needed; and
