Overview

The Ferguson-Florissant School District is a community of families and neighborhoods located in suburban St. Louis, MO. Fully-accredited by the state of Missouri, the district provides an excellent comprehensive educational program for nearly 10,000 students from preschool through 12th grade. The district is comprised of seven primary schools (PreK-2), six elementary schools (3-5), two sixth grade centers, two middle schools (7-8), two high schools and one alternative school as well as a nationally-recognized early education program, the PROBE gifted education program, the award-winning Challenger Learning Center, Little Creek Nature Area, the Innovation School at Cool Valley, a STEAM middle school and a STEAM high school.

Position Overview

Reports To:

School Nurses Manager

Employment Terms: This is a 187-day position compensated according to the Nurse Salary Schedule, as outlined in district policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary is determined based on the employee’s experience and education. Continued employment is subject to annual evaluation in alignment with this job description.

FLSA: Exempt

Retirement : PEERS

Salary: Minimum $30,107 per year, based on education, experience, and certifications

Calendar: 10-month contract (August-May)

Education and/or Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program or associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing required
• Experience in the school setting preferred

Certificates/Licenses:

• Current RN or LPN license to practice in the State of Missouri required
• Currently certified in CPR/Basic Life Support required

Responsibilities:

The School Nurse (LPN) promotes student health and wellness by providing direct care, administering medications, conducting health screenings, and maintaining health records. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, this role supports a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.
