Salary range: The salary for this position is $95,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step  Table(s). This position may include membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position Description

The UCI Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking applicants for the Multimedia Design and Instructional Technology Fellowship program for the  academic year. Clinical fellows will hold a Health Sciences Clinical Instructor title.

The fellowship incorporates emerging technologies, multimedia design, and social media into undergraduate (medical student) and graduate (residency) medical education. The goal is to create clinical educators who are nimble and engaged digital physicians, able to utilize novel technologies to better engage and educate learners in diverse learning environments.

DUTIES:

  • Clinical professional competency and excellent patient care
  • Teaching and advisement to residents, medical students and other relevant academic learners
  • Scholarly and creative activities applicable to fellowship
  • University and public service

Candidate must be eligible to obtain a California Medical License, California DEA registration, UCI Medical Staff Privileges and Board Certification in Emergency Medicine by the start date.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointments are for one year and renewal is based on availability of support.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

  • M.D. or D.O. degree; completion of an ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine Residency training program.
