Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment for an assigned special needs program. Assist teachers with the preparation of instructional materials and tutor students in assigned subject areas.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ESSA compliant:
  Associate’s Degree or completion of a minimum of 48 units at a higher education institution, or pass a local academic assessment demonstrating knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Copies of ESSA/NCLB certificate or college transcripts showing a minimum of 48 units.
• Documentation:
  Edjoin application, ESSA/NCLB certificate or transcripts.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Additional Clearance (required if offered employment): DOJ fingerprint clearance; TB clearance; lift test/drug screen clearance.

• Itinerant position may require traveling from place to place.
