Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part‑time temporary instructional faculty assignment. It is designed for a candidate who is motivated, deeply interested in engaging a diverse student body, and passionate about fostering academic growth. The role requires commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.

• Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and established course outlines.
• Conduct classes, prepare lessons, evaluate students, create course syllabi, and assess learning outcomes.
• Maintain and submit accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance) by published deadlines.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the field.

• Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience.
• Associate's degree and six years of related experience.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socio‑economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).

Applicants may qualify by having education and experience equivalent to the listed degrees; equivalency will be considered if college transcripts and a detailed work‑experience description are submitted.
