Position title: Clinical Instructor Medical Surgical/Complex Care Nursing Faculty
Position summaryThe College of Nursing at California Baptist University invites applications for a full‑time nontenure‑track position in the area of Medical Surgical Complex Care nursing. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in the field indicated; however, a master’s degree in nursing may be considered. Candidates are expected to demonstrate teaching excellence, scholarship, and service activities that support the mission of the College of Nursing and the University.
Pay rangeThe compensation for this appointment will range from $72,000 to $75,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and experience of the applicant and market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits

- Master’s or higher degree in nursing.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in a registered nursing program.
- Ability to function at the level of a staff RN in the designated nursing area(s).
- Direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years and a minimum of one (1) year in the designated nursing area.
- Unencumbered California registered nurse license.
Primary responsibilities include classroom and practicum teaching in the nursing programs. The faculty member will participate in course and program development, implementation, and evaluation. The faculty member will also make site visits to health‑care agencies hosting practicum sites to assess and evaluate the implementation of curriculum and teaching/learning activities in accordance with accreditation standards and state regulatory requirements.
