- Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum and established course outlines and as assigned based on the needs of the college.
- Conduct classes, prepare course material, evaluate students, develop course syllabus, assess and evaluate student learning outcomes, and other related duties.
- Maintain and submit accurate records according to published deadlines (grades, syllabi, attendance reports).
- Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position.
- Advise students on academic matters.
- Maintain competency in the field.
- Master's in any field of engineering.
- OR Bachelor's in any of the above.
- AND Master's in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry or geology.
- OR the equivalent.
- NOTE:
A bachelor's in any field of engineering with a professional engineer's license is an alternative qualification. - Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic socio‑economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
- To qualify by equivalency, submit college transcripts and a complete description of work experience with application.
