Admissions and Records Specialist

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual to perform complex clerical duties and specialized data processing related to residency, veteran programs, and international student admissions.

Position Information

Type of position:
Full‑Time – Monday – Friday
Salary: $25.41 – $31.79 hourly ($4,405 – $5,510 monthly based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement:
New employees start at Step A ($25.41 per hour) or B ($26.88 per hour) on the salary schedule.

Education

Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Experience

Increasingly responsible admissions and records experience.

Working Conditions

Admissions and Records Office environment; subject to constant interruptions and frequent interaction with students, staff and the public. Some light bending and stooping to retrieve files; some light lifting at times.

Assessment Process
  • Initial application screening for qualifications.

  • Written assessment – in‑person only.
  • Performance assessment – conducted in‑person.
  • Oral assessment – conducted over Zoom; accommodations provided if needed.
