Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this part‑time temporary instructional faculty assignment is a unique opportunity to engage a diverse student body, foster academic growth, and promote diversity and inclusion.

• Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum, established course outlines, and assignments based on college needs.
• Conduct classes, prepare lessons, evaluate student learning, develop course syllabus, assess and evaluate student learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records (grades, syllabi, attendance reports) according to published deadlines.
• Adhere to professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the instructional field.

Bachelor's degree in any discipline and six‑semester units in American History and Institutions.

Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
