Title: Associate Director of Enrollment Communications and Database Management

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Director of Admissions

Job Summary

Performs a wide range of recruitment and admissions efforts that articulate the vision and mission of Cottey College to the external public, under the general direction of the vice president for student life and enrollment. Responsible for assisting in the marketing of the College, data management, and development and implementation of the recruitment communication flow.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Helps to develop and implement a comprehensive admissions strategy aligned with the institution's goals and objectives.
  • Creates, manages, and evaluates the effectiveness of print, digital, and e-communications targeted at multiple segments of prospective and incoming students, with a focus on response rates and maintaining enrollment management web pages.
  • Engages with enterprise-wide technical platforms and web-based services related to all enrollment management areas, including online applications, registration, and payments.
  • Manages the database of recruitment contacts of prospective students at every stage of the enrollment process.
  • Conducts Customer Relationship Management (CRM) integration and data management.
  • Manages the export and import of student information.
  • Analyzes growth strategies and innovation across partnered platforms and software.
  • Gathers and utilizes data to assess the effectiveness of communications.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to the admissions process.
  • Ensures fairness, transparency, and consistency in the admissions process.
  • Stays current on industry trends and best practices and incorporates them into the admissions process.
  • Monitors and analyzes admission data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Creates departmental forms to assist with the enrollment process.
  • Manages counselor territory assignments and student distribution in CRM software.
  • Supports enrollment counselors by providing relevant data to assist in travel planning and recruitment strategy development.
  • Prepares applications and academic records for review by enrollment counselors.
  • Prepares reports as needed, under the direction of the vice president for student life and enrollment, for the Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders requesting statistical information.
  • Oversees aspects of some domestic territory, assisting students as they navigate the Cottey admissions process.
  • Oversees Cottey’s international enrollment, providing guidance and direction, collaborating with other stakeholders, and moving those prospective students through the admission process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of the mission of a private liberal arts and sciences college for women, emphasizing academic excellence, global awareness, and leadership opportunities for women.
  • Proficiency in basic business administration principles and practices, including mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite, online applications, and website content management.
  • Team player ability while also working independently; self‑direction and motivation; creative problem solving; establishment of priorities; effective time and budget management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Credentials and Experience
  • Business administration, communications, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Three to four years of progressively responsible experience in admissions.
  • Three to four years of progressively responsible business experience in an educational, marketing, non‑profit, or public service capacity is a plus.
Special Requirements
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as requested by the vice president for student life and enrollment.
