To assist students in learning the appropriate subject matter, skills, and/or attitudes that will contribute to their development as responsible citizens. The West Platte School District, located in Weston, Missouri, is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as our Vocal Music Teacher for the 2026‑27 school year and beyond.

High School (9‑12) and Middle School (6‑8) Choir and flexible music elective offerings. The successful candidate will choose and implement appropriate methodology; apply varied instructional strategies that address the diversity of the learners; provide continuous feedback to students and families; communicate appropriately with students, parents, community and staff; use various ongoing assessments to monitor the effectiveness of instruction; align the assessments with the goals, objectives and instructional strategies of the district, implement Missouri Learning Standards, and effectively utilize instructional technology.

West Platte 2025‑26 base compensation is $46,500. The District provides 100% Board paid Health Insurance, 50% Board paid dental, 50% Board paid vision, and Board paid life insurance. Position will remain open until filled.
