Accountability Objective:
The faculty member will provide instruction in the area of Advanced Automation and Robotics. The faculty member will assist with developing curriculum, syllabus and provide instructional materials and personal insight to provide students with the most optimum opportunity to learn a particular course of study.
Required Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics or a closely related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
or Bachelor’s degree in a related experience with demonstrated hands‑on experience in automation, controls and robotics. - Two years practical experience in industrial robotics.
- Understanding of and commitment to community college teaching, mission and philosophy.
- Innovative, flexible, and positive teaching style and understanding the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with PLC’s (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens or equivalent) robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB , or similar) and industrial networking.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline in Career and Technical Education.
- Teaching at a community college or technical training level.
- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, smart sensors and data analytics for automation.
