Preschool Montessori Teacher

Children’s House looking to hire positive and reliable individuals who have a love of teaching and are adaptable, caring, and team-oriented. Montessori experience and certification are required.

Our full‑time compensation package includes employee contribution benefits such as health, PTO, a competitive rate of pay, and on‑going professional development. Salary is based on an average of a 40‑hour work week.

• Maintain safety and general tidiness and cleanliness of the classroom, disinfecting materials and supplies.
• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children.
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self‑esteem.
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments.
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts, etc.)
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
• Write monthly class newsletters and individual progress reports twice per school year.
• Create a warm, friendly, supportive, and open relationship with parents/guardians through daily communication and demonstrated availability.

• Excellent communication and instructional skills.
• Great understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
• Ability to act as mediator between children.
• Friendly and reliable.
• Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen.
• BSc/BA in education or relevant field.
