Job Description

This position is for a part‑time EL teacher who will design and implement language instruction and intervention for students who are identified as English Learners (EL). The EL teacher will provide support to EL students in their classrooms and in the content areas. The EL teacher will develop individualized educational plans for each EL student and deliver group and individual instruction within established curriculum guidelines in all content areas.

The EL teacher will administer the annual English proficiency test and will be responsible for administering the EL screening test to students who are new to the school.

The EL teacher must maintain all state and district required documentation on EL students and will serve as a liaison between the school, classroom teachers, parents/guardians of EL students, the district EL office, and district interpreters.
