- 60 college credit hours or associate degree required
- Experience working as a classroom aide preferred
- Assist students with disabilities according to their individualized needs
- Assist in managing the behavior of students
- Keep the teacher informed of any special needs or problems of individual students
- Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with board policy and law
- Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as requested by administration
- Help supervise arrival and departure of students to which he or she is assigned
- Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
- Work with students individually or in small groups
- Accompany class to special subjects such as music, physical education, art, and library
- Provide assistance and guidance of routines to a substitute in a teacher's absence
- Work the number of days and hours specified when employed by the board; hours worked exclude lunch
- Perform other duties as may be assigned

TERMS:Full-time with benefits; $18.59+ per hour for 60 hrs/sub cert. or $19.82+ per hour for bachelor's with possible steps for experience
EFFECTIVE:Immediately
CLASSIFICATION:Non-exempt
Recommendation to be given at the November or December 2026 Board of Education meeting.
