Mark Thomas is hiring a Project Surveyor II to join our team! The role involves performing duties with greater independence and proficiency, managing small to medium-sized projects of moderate complexity, and supporting larger projects to gain practical experience. The role requires interacting with project teams and clients, and is open to both entry-level and experienced licensed surveyors, with compensation based on experience.

• Act in responsible charge of survey project deliverables, ensuring timely and quality delivery within budget.
• Communicate regularly and clearly with project teams, clients, and subconsultants.
• Perform quality checks on work by team members and subconsultants.
• Assist in writing scope of work and fee estimates.
• Design field surveys and review field data.
• Research and interpret property records; resolve issues.
• Perform boundary and Right of Way resolutions.
• Conduct field inspections and site walks.
• Check CADD mapping work, legal descriptions, and survey documents.

• PLS in the state of assignment or able to obtain it within a year.
• 6-12+ years of relevant survey experience.
• Basic project management skills.
• Knowledge of survey drafting and processing software.
• Proficiency in survey calculations and principles.
• Effective communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and meeting company driver requirements.
