Production Controller; Aircraft

This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service.

The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position, in conjunction with the Production Superintendent (Pro Super), to assign priorities to aircraft production efforts, to direct action to resolve resource shortages, to maintain liaison among aircraft maintenance management, and to provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein.

Duties: 1:
Provides both present and projected status information to prescribed managerial personnel. Maintains liaison with the Maintenance Coordinating Function (MCF) of the Command Post. 2:
Notes projected completion date, studies actual aircraft status and informs higher levels within chain of command when aircraft is to be mission ready.

3:
Through use of radio, telephone, intercom, e-mail, personal contact with production supervisors, technicians, review of work documents and statistical listings, determines status of aircraft. 4:
As daily events occur, maintains MIS data integrity regarding maintenance flying schedule requirements. Conducts training and skill level progression of Air Force Reservists.

5:
Accomplishes aircraft debriefing to ensure malfunctions identified by aircrews are properly reported and documented. Works to achieve and support quality improvements in assigned areas of responsibility.

An accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.

Department of Education must accredit education.

EDUCATION:

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

This position is with Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command, Department of the Air Force.

The posted pay range is $62729 – $81553/yr.

This position requires a Secret security clearance.
