Facilities Associate

Position & Office Overview

As a Facilities Associate I, you are a natural leader with a strong work ethic. Although you do not have much past experience in facilities consulting, you are able to quickly learn the ropes. You may, however, have experience in pre-construction surveys, photographing sites, and generating reports – which is what drew you to this field. You have great communication skills and are easily able to interact with your team and clients.

• Testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures, among other facilities-related services
• Exhibiting responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation
• Performing field and laboratory testing
• Assisting with preparation of reports, proposals, and projects
• Assisting with projects as needed
• Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects
• Scheduling and oversight of facilities technicians
• Promoting a safe workplace and proper use of PPE

• High School Diploma or GED required;
  
  B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred
• 0-2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience required
• In lieu of education, 4 years as ECS Facilities Staff Associate or equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education required. Experience with non‑destructive testing preferred. Professional certifications (such as NRCA/IIBEC, AWCI Certified EIFS Inspector) preferred
• Facilities certifications are required for all types of testing performed. All applicable certifications are required in accordance with the Technician Certification and Pay Policy.
