Role

The Assistant Project Manager will work directly with Electrical Project Managers on and off job sites to ensure projects are coordinated, scheduled and documented properly. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining communication and facilitating project documentation between vendors, subcontractors and General Contractors/Construction Managers. Candidates must have a genuine interest in the Electrical field and looking for a company in which to grow.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Electrical Project Managers with on-site coordination, scheduling, and documentation
  • Maintain clear communication with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Manage and organize project files, including RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation
  • Update and track logs in Procore; regularly report project status to managers
  • Support job site activities including scheduling, startup, and training during closeout
  • Prepare operation and maintenance manuals per project specifications
  • Ensure familiarity with construction documents such as specs, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook regularly for documentation and communication
  • Maintain attention to detail and follow through on project tasks
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in electrical or construction management; AEC industry experience preferred
  • Experience with electrical contractors and construction processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and clients
  • Genuine interest in the electrical field and long-term career growth
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with project documentation (specs, RFIs, submittals, O&Ms)
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow‑up and coordination skills
