Scope

Responsible for developing test practices and ensuring compliance with contractual test requirements. This includes creating processes, plans, procedures, automation, electrical and mechanical testing devices and fixtures to execute product testing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot circuits, components, harnesses, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and Mil-Spec industry standards.
• Prepare, conduct, and compile test reports with data analysis, results, and test validation/verification.
• Write test procedures, train test technicians, and verify training effectiveness.
• Investigate test incidents/failures, perform root‑cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness.
• Assist in product design, development, and production.
• Ensure proper test‑related documentation is completed, verified, and approved.
• Develop new apparatus or fixture designs for testing in a manufacturing environment.

Skills / Requirements

• 4‑year electrical engineering degree or equivalent, with 5+ years in a related technical field, including mechanical engineering experience.
• Advanced electrical (digital/analog) and RF theory knowledge.
• Knowledge of test specification MIL‑STD‑810.
• Hands‑on experience with signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes, Hi‑Pot testers, and cable harness testers.
• Experience with EMI, RF, analog, digital circuits in test development and volume manufacturing requirements.
• Experience developing production test systems.
• Advanced schematic interpretation and precision measurement skills.
• Strong documentation, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent communication and customer‑relations skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and/or LabVIEW.
• Execution of tests in accordance with quality systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary Range
:
Test Engineer II: $68 K – $100 K (based on experience, skills, and education)
