HSSE Advisor, Case Management

The HSSE Advisor – Case Management will serve as a key member of the Owner’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) team on a major construction project. The role is responsible for managing incident and case reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the implementation of the Owner’s HSSE management system. The advisor acts as a liaison between the Owner, contractors, and third‑party service providers to ensure timely and accurate case handling, investigation, and resolution.

• Case Management & Reporting
• Oversee the end‑to‑end process for incident and case management, including injury, illness, and near‑miss reporting.
• Maintain accurate records in the Owner’s HSSE case management system and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports.
• Compliance & Standards
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal HSSE regulations, as well as the Owner’s corporate HSSE standards.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project‑specific HSSE requirements.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Prepare detailed reports and trend analyses for management review.
• Stakeholder Coordination
• Act as the primary point of contact for medical case management, coordinating with occupational health providers and insurance representatives.
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure proper documentation and follow‑up on cases.
• Identify opportunities to improve case management processes and HSSE performance.
• Participate in audits and contribute to lessons‑learned sessions.

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of HSSE experience in large‑scale construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers’ compensation processes, and incident investigation methodologies.
• Proficiency in HSSE management systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience with medical case management and return‑to‑work programs.
• Familiarity with international HSSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Ability to analyze data and present actionable insights.
