Security Hardware Engineer

A stealth automotive technology company is assembling a core engineering group to architect the next wave of secure vehicle systems. They are building hardware that protects critical electronics from emerging digital and physical threats. The team is searching for an engineer who can design robust, security‑centric electronics and work closely with firmware teams to ensure system integrity from the component level up.

• Architect secure hardware blocks that support cryptographic operations, tamper‑resistance, and trusted‑execution features
• Own hardware architecture definition, schematic creation, and PCB implementation for security‑critical modules
• Collaborate with firmware, systems, and validation teams to define threat models, test methods, and verification standards
• Lead hardware validation activities to confirm resiliency under stress, environmental conditions, and adversarial testing
• Support integration of secure connectivity components (e.g., short‑range wireless, GNSS, and cellular systems) while ensuring hardened interfaces

• Experience designing electronics for secure systems, embedded cryptography, or mission‑critical hardware
• Strong background in microcontroller‑and SoC‑based circuit design, including secure boot, key handling, and hardware‑root‑of‑trust concepts
• Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, or equivalents)
• Ability to perform deep‑level debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and security‑oriented test equipment
