Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Electrical Engineer (PCB/Power Systems), LA, $200,000 - $250,000 + Equity + Healthcare
A cutting-edge startup at the intersection of AI, autonomy, and defense technology is seeking an Electrical Engineer (PCB/Power Systems) to help build next-generation hardware for autonomous maritime systems.
This role offers the chance to work on mission-critical projects that combine electronics, sensors, and AI-driven analytics to deliver real-time situational awareness in challenging environments.
You will:
- Design, prototype, and test electrical systems for advanced sensing and communication hardware.
- Develop custom PCBs and power electronics for ruggedized, high-reliability applications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate optical and sensor components.
- Support schematic capture and PCB layout using industry-standard EDA tools (Altium, LTSpice, Hyperlynx).
- Assist in selection and integration of power electronics systems (solar input, battery systems, regulators).
- Aid in development of analog front-ends, including ADCs and signal conditioning circuits.
- Participate in design and testing of optical sensing assemblies (alignment and calibration).
- Conduct lab testing, debugging, and hardware validation; maintain detailed documentation.
- Help transition designs from prototype to production-ready form.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in PCB design and testing (inc internships).
- Familiarity with power systems, analog circuits, and EMI-sensitive designs.
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers is a plus.
- $200,000 - $250,000 base salary (depending on experience)
