This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance.

This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for a portion of the design, planning and execution of test activities and related test equipment. You will work across subsystems and support integrated solutions to achieve our vision of “millions of people living and working in space”. This role is a combination of test development, planning, setup, execution, documentation, and troubleshooting/data analysis.

You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets and space assets are made, tested, and operated.

Candidates should have basic knowledge of CAD tools, prior test experience within an engineering environment, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work in a flexible and dynamic team environment. Candidate will assist in test design, facility and test setup, and test execution, and also perform various other duties including developing concepts and preliminary designs for required test equipment;

evaluating and managing vendor designs; developing and maintaining test documentation; conducting facility and pre-test preparations, executing tests, and troubleshooting and correcting anomalies and discrepant hardware.
** Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*** Lead the design and planning of tests and associated test equipment.
* Analyze, identify, and select test hardware (actuators, instrumentation, fixtures, support equipment, etc.).
* Coordinating and directing other engineers, test crews, support equipment, outside vendors, and vehicle configurations for testing throughout the test campaign.
* Design, develop and model test equipment/GSE required for testing.
* Manage vendors to design and fabricate test equipment/GSE where needed.
* Write test procedures and manage procedural redlines and updates during test campaigns.
* Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations.
* Troubleshoot anomalies real-time and provide solutions during non-conformance scenarios.
* Reduce, analyze and archive test data to support verification tasks.
* Manage and supervise a small team of technicians during test setups, checkouts, and teardowns.
* Act as console operator during test execution.
* While this position is based in Florida, there may be some travel to other Blue Origin sites to work with design and other test engineers.
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering.
* 3+ years of test engineering experience.
* Technical experience in:  + Test design and setup  + Test operations  + Developing, writing, and updating test procedures  + Technical writing and communication  + Working successfully in multiple disciplines
* Proven ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
* System mindset and aptitude.
* Ability to work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary.
* Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
* Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
