LAUSD Safety Specialist

We are currently looking for a Safety Specialist (LAUSD CM-SS-0325-17-Ext) for our contract with Los Angeles Unified School District.

This is an on-site, long term job. You must be located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem.

Salary Range: $123K – $137K

• 10 years’ full-time paid professional construction safety management experience in developing and implementing accident prevention programs for a large private or public organization

• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in industrial or environmental engineering, Occupational Safety or Industrial Hygiene or closely related field

OR

• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Professional Safety Certification

OR

• Two years of college education with a Professional Safety Certification and an additional 2 year full-time professional paid experience in construction safety management to compensate for the years of education.
• Completion of the OSHA 500 and 40-hour HAZPOWER courses is preferred

• Any Professional Safety Certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
• Licensed Safety Professional (LSP) from the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP)
• Certified Safety Manager (CSM) from the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP)
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH)

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors such as individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
