Principal Engineer, Electrical – Venture Global LNG

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long‑term, low‑cost provider of American‑produced liquefied natural gas. Cameron, Louisiana – Calcasieu facility, Louisiana.

The role reports to the Manager, Operations Engineering and will support the development and progress of the Ready for Operations (RFO) activities, ensuring a seamless transition of the facility from EPC to the operations phase. Responsibilities include technical leadership on electrical systems, reliability support, and maintenance interface.

• Serve as resident company Technical Expert, providing advice and guidance on Electrical system engineering issues.
• Provide day‑to‑day Electrical system support to the Maintenance & Operations teams to ensure continued operability of plant equipment.
• Provide advanced diagnostic support to allow rapid production recovery in the event of equipment failure and forced plant outages.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) during RCFA exercises and provide technical summaries to concerned parties.
• Interpret and evaluate services to analysis and recommendations from the Reliability Technicians on predictive programs.
• Support the Maintenance team for Turnaround planning and execution.
• Support availability tracking and improve overall reliability for plant equipment and evaluate workflow process, identification of critical spares, spare parts storage and preservation requirements for Electrical systems throughout the plant.
• Provide intermediate level Reliability Engineering support focusing on RCFA and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) to fine‑tune maintenance practices for cost‑effective, safe robust strategy.

• Education:
  
  Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Preferred:
  Professional Engineering License.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 12 years working in a senior engineering capacity with electrical equipment in an industrial setting in engineering or operations.
• Oil and Gas experience required; LNG applications preferred; petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing or other hydrocarbon processing experience acceptable.
• Extensive knowledge of motors, gas turbines (Frames & Aero‑derivatives) and compressors required.
• Additional skills:
  Knowledge of CMMS Systems, Power system analysis, RCFA tools for conducting failure analysis.

• Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) expertise.
• Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) knowledge.
• Electrical system engineering proficiency.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Self‑starter and minimal guidance for concept development.
