CBA - Aircraft Egress Mechanic II (P-3/C-130) - Naval Test Wing Pacific (NTWP) - Point Mugu, CA

Responsibilities- Perform scheduled/unscheduled O-Level maintenance on specific applicable T/M/S aircraft Egress, Environmental and related systems.
- Perform flight line essential services as directed to daily Flight Schedule.
- Routine lifting in excess of OSHA standards required.
- Routine ordnance loading will require team lifts of ordnance items up to 167 pounds load share per team member, in accordance with standard USN procedures.
- Have authority to direct Level I work center personnel to accomplish specific maintenance actions as required in accordance with Department of Labor Skill Code definitions. Provide guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
- Occasionally required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.
- Education
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be graduates of approved O-Level training, AME School, manufacturer, or Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit for specific T/M/S egress systems.
- Have completed and documented the appropriate T/M Navy Egress Class "C" school.
- Experience
- Minimum five years USN/USMC/USCG O-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) aircraft maintenance support experience.
- Minimum three years T/M/S aircraft maintenance experience for the specific aircraft hired to maintain.
- Three years T/M experience within the last seven years.
- Other Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Shall possess or be able to qualify for a U.S. state driver’s license.
- Candidate shall be experienced in the maintenance of:
- Aircraft ejection seats
- Aircraft air conditioning systems
- Canopy systems
- Canopy jettison/fracturing systems
- Fire warning/extinguishing systems
- Onboard Oxygen Generating Systems repair/troubleshooting
- Aircraft environmental systems maintenance
- Aircraft pressurization systems – troubleshoot oxygen systems, repair and test oxygen regulators and Liquid Oxygen (LOX) converters removed from the aircraft.
