Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design, development, documentation, and testing of factory automation systems. This role involves integrating a wide range of industrial components and machinery, from PLC‑based control systems to Ethernet communications, robotics, and power distribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Design & Engineering Design – Capture all electrical circuits for new and modified factory automation systems; design electrical panels, enclosures, and cabling using approved CAD tools; produce complete assembly and build documentation; select and integrate PLC components per company standards
  • PLC & Controls Integration – Collaborate with software teams on PLC programming, support integration of PLC‑based control systems into new electrical designs, ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Support – Work with mechanical, software, and production teams to troubleshoot and debug systems; support and advise technicians during system assembly; provide technical support and training to staff
  • Process Improvement & Vendor Management – Participate in continuous improvement of design tools and processes; research and evaluate new CAD tools and diagnostic equipment; establish and maintain vendor relationships for electrical components and services; stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in factory automation or industrial system integration
  • Strong PLC system design experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, Solid Works, or Autodesk Inventor
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
