Job Title:

Global Field Support Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Global Field Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. This individual will spend extensive periods in the field, supporting deployed robotic systems. Responsibilities include system setup upon delivery, performing calibration routines, testing and validating performance, and diagnosing, troubleshooting, and documenting hardware and software issues independently. The candidate will also collaborate closely with the design teams in the US and India to develop fixes and improvements to the product.

A background in mechatronics and extensive experience in lab work and design of experiments (DOE) is essential. Flexibility and readiness to engage in various technical areas based on project needs are crucial. Our team operates like a start-up division, with engineers working on diverse aspects of projects in a dynamic environment. Critical analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and calibrate robotic systems at customer sites upon delivery. Test system performance, diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and resolve most problems independently. Document this process and report status regularly to teams in the US and India.
  • Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with robotic and mechatronic systems.
  • Design and conduct experiments and tests to resolve complex technical problems, implementing DOE principles.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers in the US and India to troubleshoot and solve challenging problems over the phone while at the customer site.
  • Work with the design team in the US and India to develop fixes and improvements to the product.
  • Ensure regular overlap with normal business hours in California (United States).
  • Take strong ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring proper accountability.
  • Act as a liaison for cross-functional projects across multiple organizations.
  • Train other engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.Tech in Mechatronics or Robotics engineering or Similar.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Mechatronics & automation role.
  • Background in robotics automation and testing in Semiconductor industry or a similar field.
  • Creative thinking, strong problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to complete projects and learn required skills with minimal guidance.
  • Solid understanding of statistical process control and basic statistical analysis used in production settings.
  • Previous experience in individual project management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hardware design and end effector design.
  • Proficiency in MCAD model creation (Siemens NX, Creo, Solid Works) is a plus.
  • Experience with robotic path programming and computer vision is a plus.

Good to have:

  • Semiconductor Industry

    Experience:

    Previous experience in semiconductor manufacturing or local labs with exposure to similar automation tools and systems.
  • Robotics Certification:
    Formal certification or training in robotics, automation technologies, or related fields.
  • In-depth understanding of semiconductor fabrication equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Experience with collaborative robotics and automation technologies.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve maintenance challenges.
