DescriptionCandidates with engineering, construction, or technical planning backgrounds from military service will be strongly considered, even if their estimating experience was gained outside traditional civilian PEMB roles.
What You’ll Do- Develop accurate PEMB cost estimates using Varco Pruden proprietary tools (VP Command / VPDRAW / VPSPEC) and MBS Software
- Produce formal proposals, take‑offs, pricing documentation, and preliminary layouts
- Analyze architectural and structural plans to determine design feasibility and required loads
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams on structural value engineering and optimization
- Verify wind exposure/enclosure, seismic design, and deflection criteria compliance
- Support estimates across multiple product lines
- Minimum 3 years PEMB estimating experience
- Proficiency with Varco Pruden design & estimating systems
- Proficiency with MBS Metal Building Software
- Strong understanding of IBC, ASCE 7, wind/seismic design, and deflection requirements
- Ability to read and generate structural layouts and reaction diagrams
- High attention to precision, engineering detail, and schedule coordination
- Mini‑storage/barndominium estimating experience
- Familiarity with additional PEMB platforms (Butler, Metallic, Star, Nucor, etc.)
- Basic AutoCAD or Revit skills
- Net Suite CPQ familiarity
- Competitive pay structure based on experience
