Day In The Life
  • Interface with suppliers after purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with PO requirements.
  • Determine when a supplier is in breach of the PO or may become non‑compliant, and decide when travel is required to expedite delivery.
  • Prioritize multiple POs for optimal project performance and determine the level and function of additional personnel for decisions.
  • Maintain continuous contact with suppliers to verify status and delivery.
  • Communicate schedules and issues with suppliers, Projects, Scheduling, Logistics, QA, Engineering, and the Purchasing Assistant.
  • Visit suppliers to review potential problem areas, advise on changes to improve delivery, and document findings.
  • Create and maintain material tracking logs, including fabrication status, delivery status, MTRs, and documentation for all POs.
  • Run Tag‑Up meetings and review purchase orders for delivery and document requirements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve department policies, procedures, and supporting systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of fabrication techniques and procedures.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time (domestic/international, with occasional weekend/holiday overlap).
Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in design, fabrication, or manufacturing.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player. Proficiency in English required.
  • Ability to read, write, problem‑solve, make quick decisions, interpret data, and analyze results.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time (domestic and international).
