North Star Energy Services is seeking an experienced Sr. Civil Designer to support engineering and design activities for EPC and engineering projects based out of our Baton Rouge, Louisiana office.

• Create existing and finished grade surfaces using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading models and surface analysis.
• Interpret survey information to develop site and property boundaries and 3D existing grade surfaces.
• Utilize Civil 3D cut/fill tools to support earthwork analysis and design development.
• Follow project‑specific drafting standards and set up drawings using both model space and paper space.
• Export 3D grade models for use by other designers and Navisworks coordination teams.
• Produce 2D concrete foundation drawings with rebar details based on engineering sketches or verbal direction.
• Manage and organize drawings using xrefs and established file structures.
• Review and verify dimensions, text, and design accuracy against vendor drawings, surveys, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to deliver high‑quality, on‑time, and on‑budget design packages.
• Support structural modeling activities using CADWorx when needed (preferred).

• Degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related field, preferred.
• 10+ years of experience creating grade surface models, plans, and details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience developing 3D grade surfaces compatible with Navisworks models.
• Ability to produce accurate civil construction drawings, details, and site development layouts.
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD xrefs, drawing setup, and file management best practices.
• CADWorx structural modeling experience, preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and personal accountability for design quality.
