* Contract will be issued accordingly with legal requirements and legal entity of the hiring country JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for capsules product development and customer technical support of packaging for Wines and Spirits (closures, overcaps … etc.). The role requires close links with sales, customers, marketing, machine manufacturers, raw material suppliers, Amcor Flexibles plants and Field Technical Service team in order to generate and deliver sales or profit growth through new product market implementation and eventual trouble shooting and product improvements.

PRINCIPAL

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead the New Product Development project from idea to launch (customer implementation), including design of technical solution, sampling and product qualifications, industrialization, project costs management and trial cost budget, in coordination with the Cross Functional team and plants.
  • Lead the Improvement and Maintenance projects on existing products in coordination with Procurement, Marketing, Sales and AF plants.
  • Support technically customers in coordination with FTS , Sales, Marketing and AF plants.
  • Close cooperation with raw material suppliers and packaging machine manufacturers to minimize our products cost and maximize our products efficiency on customers lines
  • Participate to R&D stage gate review with Amcor Capsules key stakeholders to review project status
  • Report numbers/data related to the CIR (Credit Impôt Recherche) related to screwcaps projects
  • Manage apprenticeship in his/her projects and daily task
MAJOR CHALLENGES & COMPLEXITIES
  • Coordination and effective communication with several functions and levels in the organization (including sales teams in North America / California and East Coast and Plant GM’s)
  • Innovation thinking to find always new and more effective solutions to drive for results

  • Learning on fly on always new technical challenges and market application requirement evolution

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Formal Qualifications And Experience
  • Must Have:
    University degree in related science, engineering or technical discipline (mechanical engineering or packaging engineering preferred)
  • Must Have:
    Fluent in French and English and additional European languages are a plus
  • Must Have:
    Project management process and tools
  • Nice to Have:
    Technical knowledge on beverage materials, solutions of bottles closure and converting processes like deep drawing, printing and assembling processes as well as on the bottling line processes (filling, closing, labelling etc…).
