Ready to write code that flies? We’re working with one of the most exciting venture-backed robotics startups in the defense-tech space, building scalable autonomous systems that operate in the air, not just on the ground. Backed by a16z’s American Dynamism fund and other leading investors, this team is solving real-world challenges using real-time robotics and aerial navigation. They’re now hiring a Robotics Software Engineer to join their growing technical team.
If you’ve spent the last few years building C++ and Python-based systems, integrating sensors like LiDAR and IMUs, and want to be at the forefront of autonomous flight, this is the one.
- Developing navigation, perception, and control software for aerial robots
- Working with LiDAR, camera, and IMU data for real-time decision-making
- Implementing and optimising algorithms for SLAM, sensor fusion, and path planning
- Collaborating with hardware, product, and customer teams to take systems from lab to field
- Helping shape scalable and reliable robotic software architecture
- 5+ years’ experience in robotics or autonomous systems
- Deep skills in C++ and Python
- Experience working with sensor integration and robotics middleware (ROS)
- Strong knowledge of SLAM, path planning, or aerial robotics
- Bonus points for: PX4/Ardupilot, computer vision, hands-on hardware work
- Work on cutting-edge UAV tech with real-world applications
