Under the general direction of a Senior Transportation Electrical Engineer, the Transportation Engineer (Electrical) will perform quality assurance testing on electrical/electronic products used in the California Transportation System. The role is headquartered in the Materials Engineering and Testing Services Laboratory in Sacramento and may require extensive travel.
- Conduct quality assurance testing on electrical/electronic products.
- Assist with documentation and reporting of testing results.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s license required when operating a state‑owned or leased vehicle.
- For range D: valid Professional Engineering License (Electrical) issued by California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required: typed, 12‑point font, no more than 2 pages.
