Salary Range: $6,332.00 - $12,152.00 per Month (Range A to
D)
- Under the supervision of a Senior Transportation Surveyor, prepare field packages and create office deliverables.
- Check the quality and accuracy of survey data and produce office deliverables.
- Assign and complete work based on Divisional and/or departmental needs.
- Travel for field or office assignments, including short-term overnight travel.
- Possession of a valid Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) or Land Surveyor (LS) certificate.
- Valid driver’s license required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
- Compliance with California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers license (for Range
D). - State examination eligibility and completion of STD 678 application.
- Unofficial transcripts or diploma for educational verification.
- Experience preparing and reviewing field packages and creating survey deliverables.
- Knowledge of monumentation preservation and perpetuation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
- Proficiency with CAD, survey adjustment software, GIS deliverables, and GNSS, UAV, LiDAR.
Location:
464 W. 4th Street, San Bernardino, San Bernardino County. Office environment with artificial lighting. Occasional travel and overnight short-term assignments. Telework possible based on decision.
