Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Lead/Principal Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team Phantom Works teams in Hazelwood, MO.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop and implement enterprise level approaches to structural and stability analysis and testing
Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort
Investigate emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements
Work with customers and regulatory agencies to develop certification standards and define processes that will ensure requirements are met
Review and approve certification results
Work independently
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active
This position requires ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Level 5: 14+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 12+ years with a Masters OR 9+ years with a PhD
Level 6 : 20+ years of working experience with a Bachelor’s OR 18+ years with a Masters OR 14+ years with a PhD
Advanced expert knowledge of aircraft structure, materials strength and properties, design and manufacturing requirements, loading conditions and processes
Experience with setting criteria for certification, testing and allowables development, loads and analysis, and creating innovative solutions to complex problems
Successful developmental effort noted for technology development of advanced tools, processes, materials and configurations
Mentoring of early and midlevel career engineers and consultation/direction of work for other similar platforms, programs or business units
