Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer | Hybrid | Bridgeton, MO

Join a team driving innovation and excellence in supplier quality! Our client is launching a major five-year initiative and seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement efforts across a dynamic supply chain.

• Act as the primary liaison between suppliers, supply chain, operations, and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier non-conformances.
• Conduct supplier assessments and support qualification of new and existing suppliers.
• Drive APQP and PPAP processes using tools like PFMEA, control plans, SPC, and Gage R&R.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance using scorecards and KPIs (PPM, on-time delivery, 8D, etc.).
• Support cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Represent Hussmann professionally with external partners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate on new product development to ensure supplier quality requirements are met.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering or supplier quality.
• Experience across multiple functional areas (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, etc.) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, APQP, and PPAP.
• Ability to travel 25–50% of the time.
