About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a senior Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale anaerobic digestion and wastewater treatment facilities for a well-established industrial infrastructure and resource recovery business. The organization delivers complex, capital-intensive process plants across wastewater, biogas, and renewable energy, supporting municipal and industrial clients with critical infrastructure projects.

This role is focused on the execution of major wastewater-based anaerobic digestion projects, from early-stage engineering through construction and commissioning. It is suited to an experienced project leader who is comfortable operating in an EPC environment and managing high-value, technically complex industrial plants.

The Role

The Project Manager will have full responsibility for the delivery of anaerobic digestion and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring execution is aligned with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. This is a senior role requiring strong technical understanding, commercial discipline, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

You will act as the primary point of accountability for project delivery, working closely with internal stakeholders, EPC partners, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful outcomes on large-scale infrastructure programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of anaerobic digestion projects within wastewater treatment facilities
  • Manage project execution within an EPC framework, from detailed engineering through construction and handover
  • Own project budgets, schedules, risk management, and reporting for capital projects exceeding $50M
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines
  • Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards
  • Manage change control, commercial impacts, and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Interface directly with clients, vendors, and internal leadership to provide clear and consistent project updates
  • Support commissioning and startup phases to ensure smooth transition from construction to operations
Required Background & Experience Education
  • Technical diploma or degree in one of the following disciplines :
  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Or an equivalent technical qualification
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager delivering industrial plant projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with capital values exceeding $50M
  • Strong background working within an EPC environment
  • Proven experience delivering wastewater treatment facilities, anaerobic digestion plants, or similar industrial process plants
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing, procurement strategy, and contractor management
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experienced industrial Project Manager with deep exposure to wastewater treatment and anaerobic digestion
  • Comfortable leading large, technically complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong communicator able to manage senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commercially astute with a disciplined approach to cost, schedule, and risk
  • Hands‑on and detail‑oriented, with a practical understanding of how process plants are built and delivered
Why This Role

This is an opportunity to lead flagship wastewater and anaerobic digestion projects that sit at the intersection of infrastructure, sustainability, and resource recovery. The role offers long‑term project exposure, technical challenge, and the chance to play a key role in delivering essential environmental infrastructure.
