About the Role:
LS Power is seeking experienced Construction Managers to oversee and manage construction activities for high‑voltage underground transmission line projects. The Construction Manager is a full‑time, site‑based role that serves as the primary point of contact for all field‑related activities, ensuring that contractors meet technical, commercial, and safety requirements while delivering projects on time and within budget.
This role provides leadership across the construction lifecycle—including pre‑construction, logistics, material management, construction, inspection, compliance monitoring, permitting, safety, and quality oversight. The Construction Manager will coordinate with EPC leadership, field‑based contractors, utilities, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Positions are currently available for projects in California (South San Francisco Bay Area) with mobilization in March 2026.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you will do:
- Lead all field‑related services during project execution, including pre‑construction planning, construction management, quality control, safety oversight, and permit compliance.
- Manage contractors in accordance with project budgets, schedules, technical requirements, and contractual provisions.
- Mitigate commercial or field‑related issues promptly and elevate as needed to the EPC Lead or T‑Line/Substation Lead.
- Coordinate and manage interfaces among multiple field‑based stakeholders, including contractors, inspectors, field engineers, compliance monitors, material suppliers, utilities and regulatory representatives. Manage LS Power field‑based Inspectors and Field Engineers.
- Ensure contractors maintain compliance with all project requirements—including safety, environmental, permit, and quality standards.
- Oversee field documentation management, including RFIs, issue logs, drawings, SWPPP compliance records, and safety reports.
- Review and track contractor schedules and maintain an integrated construction schedule, incorporating three‑week look‑aheads and interface coordination.
