St. Louis, Missouri (Full Time)

Starting Salary Range: $80,000 – $105,000

The transportation engineer will perform civil engineering design services in a team-oriented environment. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for public and private sectors ranging from small to multimillion-dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients including state DOTs and other governmental agencies – municipal, county and state.

• Daily production of civil engineering design plans
• Work as part of a team to deliver quality design that adheres to the project budget and schedule
• Responsible and accountable for client/customer satisfaction and technical project execution
• Performs other job duties as assigned

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university
• 4+ years of hands‑on plan preparation experience for public agency roadway projects
• PE license required
• Proficiency in Micro Station and a related transportation design package (Open Roads Designer, Geopak); candidates with an AutoCAD/Civil 3D background are also considered
• Working knowledge of DOT/AASHTO Standards
• DOT project experience preferred (MoDOT is a plus)
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other general office software

• Ability to sit at desk for extended periods of time
• Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time
• Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software
