Position: Licensing Specialist I-IV or Sr. (Nuclear)

JOB SUMMARY/

PURPOSE:

Responsible for the execution of the licensing processes and procedures at Entergy Nuclear.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages regulator's commitments. Interface with the NRC Resident inspectors and inspection teams. Maintains and implements regulations, including 10

    50.59 and 10

    CFR
    72.48.
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves correspondence to the NRC, including Licensee Event Reports, license amendments, allegation responses, generic letters and NRC Order responses, and required periodic reports. Submits performance indicator data to the NRC.
  • Develops and revises procedures in accordance with current regulatory and administrative requirements. Coordinates SRC activities.
  • Enhances communications by performing a liaison function between various work groups. Participates in the shared resources program.
  • Serves as a member of the Emergency Response Organization. Interfaces with regulatory and industry representatives on behalf of station activities.
  • Communicates technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: B.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 6 years commercial or military nuclear experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.

Certificates/Licenses: None.

Working Conditions: Office environment with minimal physical requirements. Employees may be required to work additional hours, in alternate locations, and/or perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.

Location: Louisiana, Killona.

Relocation Option: Level II.
