The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Associate or Experienced Industrial Engineer to support Air Proprietary Supply Chain Integration in the St. Louis, MO area.

Position Overview:As an Industrial Engineer within Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in the St. Louis region, you will apply industrial engineering concepts and techniques to optimize products, processes, and services that meet program requirements. You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate systems, tools and processes to define, develop and improve the production system. You may work on developing plant layouts, capacity plans, and workflows, evaluate and integrate new technologies into production and service operations, and support execution planning to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing outcomes.
This role includes a strong emphasis on supply chain integration to ensure seamless end-to-end flow of materials and information.
- Design, maintain, and optimize production systems by integrating product design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Conduct workflow design and analysis to enhance operational efficiency and improve quality.
- Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics to leaders and customers.
- Research, design, and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Prepare operations plans, including budgeting, capacity analysis, and production change management to meet technical goals.
- Support execution planning through project management, planning, scheduling, and shop load practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.
- Integrate supply chain considerations into production planning, including supplier capacity alignment, material flow optimization, and inventory strategy to minimize risk and support on‑time delivery.
- Partner with procurement, suppliers, logistics, and operations teams to develop resilient supply chain solutions, manage lead‑times, and implement supplier performance metrics.
- Leverage data and digital tools to improve demand‑supply visibility, reduce supply variability, and enable continuous improvement across the value stream.
